A serial-entrepreneur, 7 businesses so far in 7 industries...one of my favorites (#5) being a 501(c)3 that ultimately grew to 20,000 clients. My original interest in Dialogue grew out of my work as a systems-trained, strategic family therapist. This was further peaked moving to Austin in 2003 and discovering a like-minded community here quite readily -- with the additional awareness of Deliberation contributed by Taylor Willingham and Texas Forums. Professionally, I am able to introduce Dialogue conceptually into my work with business owners and corporate CEO's and CFO's and their teams of VP's. Hopefully, with my love of "spreading the word" i can help do exactly that about the upcoming NCDD Conference. Personally, I'm co-authoring a blog beginning in Feb. '08 on the very timely convergence within the world of business and commerce of: science, philosophy, spirituality. There seems to me to be a direct fit within this process for a radical increase in the capacity of us all for an increase in awareness of Dialogue/Deliberation as accessible approaches.
engage in some concrete way to help more people learn about these activities and ventures -- once i'm more grounded in where Austin is so far in the planning with NCDD. (i'm brand new this week to the group.)
Other involvement:
Want to learn more about how all Dialogue and Deliberation are being formally used culturally, community-wise, and in business settings. Will become active in a discussion list and need to explore options. I've not formally yet been involved in a project or working group...am am available for either.
