2007 EPP Section Conference
The Environment and Public Policy Section (EPP) of the Association for Conflict Resolution invites you to register for its 2007 Conference. They will be meeting on the campus of Florida Atlantic University’s Jupiter John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter, Florida. The conference starts in the early afternoon on Thursday, June 7 and ends at noon on Saturday, June 9, 2007.
NCDD is recognized as a Sponsor of this conference, and members of NCDD receive the same discount as ACR members ($275 for the full conference or $150 for one day). Note that the student rate is only $90, so students are strongly encouraged to participate. Try to register before May 31st, when rates increase. Go to www.mediate.com/acrepp/pg25.cfm for registration forms, the full conference program and other materials.
This year the EPP Conference will be organized to focus on four major themes. These themes include:
- Collaborative Leadership and Institutional Change
- Collaborative Leadership and Deliberative Democracy
- Examining the Nature of Our Practice
- Integrating Collaborative Leadership and Practice
Each theme will be introduced to the participants-at-large by a keynote speaker or invited panel. We will develop these themes in concurrent breakout sessions following each panel or keynote presentation.
Hotel rooms are available for only $109 per night. The hotels are several miles from the campus and shuttles will be provided as needed.
There will be a field trip to the Everglades and other points of interest to examine efforts to manage South Florida’s natural systems and the role of collaborative processes in that management. The field trip would be scheduled for Saturday afternoon. To express an interest, email Lisa Fowler of the Florida Conflict Resolution Consortium at .
