Conference Scholarship Opportunities

Thanks to the continued support of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, we are able to offer a limited number of scholarship opportunities for those who may otherwise not be able to attend the 2004 NCDD Conference.

If you (or your organization) are unable to cover the entire registration fee, lodging costs and/or travel costs associated with attending the conference, please submit this application as soon as you are able to. We will be evaluating scholarship applications as they are submitted to us, and we will try to let you know within two weeks of your request whether we are able to provide you with financial assistance to attend the conference. (In other words, the longer you wait, the less money we'll have left!) Note: we are unable to cover the cost of international flights.

We will base our scholarship decisions on several factors. People who can help us meet our goals for diversity at the conference (diversity in age, race, sexual orientation, political ideology, level and type of D&D experience, etc.) are more likely to receive scholarship funds than others. People who have taken on a leadership role in NCDD, in our 2002 conference or in the dialogue and deliberation community in general are also more likely to receive scholarship assistance than those who have not.

Students, dialogue participants and facilitators under the age of 25 are especially encouraged to apply for scholarship funds if they are in need of assistance.

Please only apply for the assistance you need so that we can support as many people as possible with our limited scholarship funds:
