I can't make it to the Conference, but I sure hope some of you will try to do something about correcting the inaccuracies in our name. We are already International & what we've got doesn't look like a coalition (as I understand it). Mainly I want to make sure that everyone understands that we're open for anyone who wants to promote Dialogue & Deliberation regardless of Nation or our organizational structure. 'Collaborators' might do the trick (& keep the same initial), but I don't feel strongly about this point.

I just realized there is no need to change the 'N' to an "I" (for 'International') if we change our name to 'Network of Collaborators for Dialogue & Deliberation'. A network should be seen as being international unless we specifically limit it otherwise. It is especially important for us because for effective dialogue we must be very sensitive in our choice of words. We need to try to choose words that will lead others to get a clear & accurate picture of the reality we are trying to communicate.
'National' no longer describes our membership. 'Coalition' would be alright if it were coupled with 'International', but 'Network' works just as well with 'Collaborators'.
It's a fine point to care about but I hope I'm not the only one who cares about such fine points!
