WAR-nings in need of PEACE-nings!

I hope you won't let my bad jokes detract you from the seriousness of this post. WAR-nings are warnings of dangerous trends or actions that any of you may be aware of that may tend to keep us from creating a culture of peace in our world. We're in the middle of Unesco's decade dedicated to creating a culture of peace & non-violence for the children of the world. A number of Nobel Peace Laureates created Manifesto 2000 (6 basic principles which, if followed, should do just that). About a million people have already pledged to follow them, but I don't think pledging is enough. There are so many serious problems we need to harness as much 'how to' wisdom as possible to try to create a globalocal community that will benefit our great grandchildren's great grandchildren. D&D is one excellent way for us to harness wisdom. Wisdom is hard to harness because we never know if what we do is going to turn out to be wise until after we've done what we think is wise. No one can predict accurate outcomes; we always have to wait&see the actual results. But if we pool our ideas & resolve our differences with open minds, we shouldn't have to wait until everyone agrees before we start acting locally!
