Moving Forward on Two Important Projects

Two things really stood out for me and many conference participants as things we need to focus energies on:

1. Finding ways to help new practitioners enter into and succeed in this work; and
2. Helping ensure that people involved in dialogue & deliberation can collaborate, network, meet and support each other locally and regionally.

Evan Thomas Paul and others such as Priya Parker and Brian McCall are excited about creating a youth/new practitioners network within NCDD, creating a mentoring program for new practitioners, establishing a clearinghouse for internship opportunities, and more. I am about to set up a listserv for people interested in helping to make sure these things happen.

Susan Edwards is interested in helping to get regional networks and gatherings started up, and we're going to be creating a listserv for people interested in helping figure out how to approach this ambitious project. Many people at the conference are interested in seeing this happen - hopefully some of you are interested enough to help MAKE this happen!
