A small group of practitioners and leaders in the intergroup dialogue field met during the June Connecting Communities forum in Washington, DC organized by Initiatives of Change (formerly known as MRA). We began talking about organizing a networking, information-sharing, and strategizing event for others like us, who are curious about other models and strategies out there, and who are interested in sharing what we, ourselves, have learned.

We have since communicated with each other further, and invited others to join us in the discussion, but were quickly overwhelmed with the amount of interest and the diversity of ideas and needs that different people seem to have for the event.

In order to create some clarity about what ways dialogue practitioners could really benefit from such an event - and whether or not there is a demand for an event like this - we are administering a survey to assess people?’s needs and hopes for a gathering. If you are involved in the intergroup dialogue field - as a facilitator, dialogue organizer, participant, researcher, or student - we would love for you to complete this survey.
