Call for Articles and Other Contributions

The International Journal of Public Participation (IJP2) is preparing its inaugural issue for online publication in November 2006.

The IJP2 invites contributions that:

connect public participation with decision-making regarding matters of policy, planning, or development.

discuss particular issues, events, cases, processes, or tools relevant to the effective practice of public participation.

address the deeper questions and assumptions underpinning current theoretical and practical approaches to public participation.

review books or interview persons whose views hold some general significance for the theory or practice of public participation.

For the inaugural issue, the editors are especially interested in:

contributions that place public participation in the context of the various challenges currently facing societies and their governments around the world;

contributions that address common problems or questions in the practice of public participation;

submissions that offer a comparative or international perspective on the theory and practice of public participation.
