About www.Thataway.org...

www.Thataway.org went online in late 1999 to support the growth of Sandy Heierbacher's Dialogue to Action Initiative, a program that first went online in early 1998 and originally provided dialogue resources to proponents and practitioners of national service programs. ?By the end of 1999, the Dialogue to Action Initiative had grown considerably and had expanded its mission to include resources for anyone interested in dialogue. But this expansion required an online home which could support its constant growth so we moved the resource to www.Thataway.org. ?In 2000, we began our regularly updated Dialogue Community to provide current news and information to dialogue practitioners.

Early on, we also created Thataway Design. Although no longer pursuing freelance commercial clients, Thataway Design still exists as a resource in its on right, providing assistance to other nonprofits, especially dialogue and deliberation programs.

In 2002, we became involved with the organization of a National Conference on Dialogue & Deliberation and were very happy to host its website and the website for the program that followed, the National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation.

In 2003, we plan to expand the functionality of our Dialogue Community, and increase our resources, especially on the National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation pages, to include more information about both dialogue and deliberative processes.
