| About Me: |
I have been involved in various aspects of dialogue and deliberation throughout my life and now teach communication studies. I was involved with debate teams and model united nation organizations throughout high school and college. I began coaching debate in graduate school at UNLV. I became interested in alternative dispute resolution strategies through my debate experiences and continued to explore these alternatives through my doctoral work at Penn State. I taught communication studies courses at California State University and was invited to lead seminars in dialogue with health providers such as Kaiser. In 2006, I accepted an invitation to build a new program in Applied Communications at Trinity Lutheran College where the exploration of dialogue and deliberation are at the heart of the curriculum. |
