| About Me: |
Looking for a better way to create fair, unbiased and constructive workplaces, I discovered the field of conflict management and returned to graduate school to learn more. I learned to analyze conflict, to mediate and to advise organizations on the challenges they face. At UB, I can use both my background in conflict management and my background in law. I teach graduate students in the Negotiations and Conflict Management program to understand the nature of conflict and the various options for addressing it, including those offered by the legal system. I also teach students in the Legal and Ethical Studies graduate program, offering insight into both theory and practice within the legal system. From a background encompassing multiple ways to address conflictranging from legal coercion to the collaborative development of solutionsI can easily show the benefits of understanding and using each of these conflict management options. |
