About Me:	Karen Stran has been working in international and community development for the past fifteen years. Deeply committed to grassroots and asset-based community development, she has managed federal government programs for the Corporation for National and Community Service since 1995. Originally trained as a middle school and high school teacher, Karen has lived, worked and traveled in 30 countries as a teacher, trainer, and education program manager. Karen has a M.S. in International Development Management with a focus on training/education project management from American University in Washington D.C.
