I am an assistant professor of communication studies. I teach and do research on group communication, public deliberation, and dialogue. I am particularly interested in the role of personal storytelling in helping group members express their experiences, manage conflicts, and engage in dialogic moments. I have some experience in organizational training and group facilitation and am becoming increasingly interested in public discourse about environmental issues.
I work at Ohio University in the School of Communication Studies. OU is a public university in rural/Appalachian Ohio. Our department has a big undergraduate program and a PhD program.
