Lauren Parker Kucera, MA, is an educational consultant and a seasoned facilitator, providing workshops on diversity, equity and cross-cultural communication in the Bay Area and throughout the United States. She is the director of the organization coAction which is based in the Bay Area and primarily partners with educational institutions, foundations and not-for-profit organizations using dialogue as a primary tool in working with privilege, power, race, class and gender. She is the parent of a 16 year old son, Julian and is in transition this summer while moving to Soquel, located just south of Santa Cruz, California.
I am co-facilitating a pre-conference workshop the day before the 2008 NCDD conference begins in Austin. The workshop is entitled "The Whiteness Learning Lab: A Deeper Understanding of Racism and White Privilege as Essential to Inclusive Community-Building."
