| About Me: |
Ms. Anderson is a Senior Program Manager at Touchstones. Margaret also co-founded Bay Area Socratic Seminars, where she spent four years training teachers to implement Socratic Seminars. In 1996, Margaret began teaching at the Sonoma State University and the Hutchins School of Liberal Studies in Washington State. While there, she coordinated conferences for interdisciplinary education, Socratic Seminars, and a course called The Seminar Process Workshop, introducing the discussion process to upper division students. Ms. Anderson holds an M.A. in Liberal arts from St. Johns College in Santa Fe, New Mexico and a B.A. from Sonoma State University. Margaret has experience working directly with teachers and students, from elementary school through college, at using discussion to develop important collaboration, discussion, and critical reading and thinking skills. She has presented at numerous conferences and conducted trainings for public school faculty, and worked directly with college faculty, students, parents, and public officials on using discussion for varying purposes. |
