I have been a Texas Forums member of the LBJ Library serving as a moderator, scribe, observer, blogger, online host, and roving reporter. I have been a Chair of the Pflugerville Council of Neighborhood Associations (PfCONA) and utilized town meetings, forums, roundtables, consensus process, and advocacy to further neighborhood/community efforts in city government and organization efforts. I am an Envision Central Texas board member supporting a look at the big picture and collaboration. I am Chair of the Pflugerville Downtown Planning Committee working to bring together the various stakeholders to revitalize downtown and have residents and businesses learn to coexist and support each other. I have been a moderator/facilitator for community/neighborhood workgroups in relation to commercial development (e.g., Wal-Mart) and served as president for my homeowner association. I have been a previous Youth Ministry Director for the Diocese of Austin serving as a consultant for 26 counties of Central TX to organize, implement, and maintain youth ministry in more than 100 churches. This involved training, workshops, rallies, concerts, retreats, forums, deanery, region, and national events and activities. I am a member of the St. Elizabeth Church youth ministry team and the church Youth and Family Commission. My background includes communication (writing, photography, video), Scouting/Camp Counselor, young adult ministry, choir, case manager for at-risk youth, community policing, crime prevention, neighborhood watch, victim services, and school mentoring. I am also a reserve Travis County Precinct #2 Deputy Constable. PfCONA was formed in 1985 by residents who wanted a forum for neighborhood groups to collectively air their concerns and work with the City Council to resolve problems. Its goal was to bring the community together. This goal continues today.
