| About Me: |
My professional background is in education, social work, and organization development. I’ve worked in Freire-based community-empowerment projects with language-minority parents; in educational reform efforts aimed at helping teachers facilitate dialogue and emotional intelligence in the classroom; and in facilitating conflict transformation and creative collaboration within and among communities, local government agencies, businesses, and non-profits. I’m particularly drawn to processes that support emergence and self-organization in groups, tap into creativity, and lead to co-intelligence and shared action. I also work with various partnership-based processes that support emergence and self-organization in individuals, so that we can be doing the work of “inner dialogue” as well as “outer dialogue”. To that end, I offer workshops in Dynamic Facilitation and in Gendlin’s Focusing Partnership. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems therapy. My current “growing edge” is learning about Health Realization as a highly effective, consciousness-based community-organizing model. |
