Susan S. Clark is a consultant in civic engagement, community research and participatory communications. Her firm, Common Knowledge, has pioneered the field of "participation dynamics," stimulating engagement among traditionally under-represented audiences in voting and other forms of connecting with state and local policy issues. Project partners and clients include foundations, nonprofits and public agencies, with an emphasis on California due to the state's diverse ethnic and cultural populations. Various forms of dialogue are at the core of this work.
