Hi folks – not a lot o’ action here… but I would definitely be interested in forming discussions, connections, ideas on how web tech is being and can be in the future used as a venue for D&D – that is, I guess, a bit obvious given the context here. ONe example is the upcoming Conversation Week by Conversation Cafe and the way they have partnered with GlobalMindshift to hold online conversations. I hoping to be able to participate in at least one or two…
While I am solidly in the camp that we should not use the internet as a substitute for live social connection when it is available and possible… I absolutely think we SHOULD use it at all other times, to connect and collaborate. And what better a thing to do that to hold meaningful dialogue and deliberation whenever possible?!
It would be interesting to consider/discuss what folks see as the "types" or "topics" of D&D that could not/should not be attempted online (or with what revised expectations) compared to those well-suited to the online environtment.
