About Me:
I have recently become fascinated with the facilitation of group processes, particularly related to political action at a variety of levels, from local budgeting to the global sustainability revolution, as well as with the new possibilities that technology offers for expanding the power of these processes. I am creating a "personal masters program" in order to develop skills in this area, posing the question: "What happens when ubiquitous social networking is married with conscious dialogic and deliberative processes?" For the past year, I have moderated a weekly two-hour discussion group where the participants choose the topics, and I have also recently become the point person for the Coffee Party Movement in CT. I am also looking at ways to bring D&D processes to bear in the governing of my town, particularly concerning challenges related to budgeting and to the development of a large property housing a former mental institution situated in the center of town. I would love to connect with anyone who can offer me hands-on learning opportunities related to these interests!
