About Me: |
Carina Costom was born in Montréal, Québec in 1969 and moved to Nelson, British Columbia, Canada in 2003. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) from McGill University in Communications and Film in 1992. She pursued her interest in photography at the Saidye Bronfman Center and the Dawson Institute of Photography; developed her graphic and print design skills at Rosemount Technology Center and later completed six months of mentoring in facilitating Social Change at the Integrative Learning Institute (ILI). As a contemplative multi-disciplinary artist, Carina Costom is a practicing photographer, illustrator/painter, poet. Her discourse invites humour, inquiry, dialogue and critical thinking to co-exist playfully and constructively. Carina cultivates creativity, curiosity, diversity, inclusiveness, integrity, and youth mentorship. |
