My Work
Organization Name: The Project on Civic Reflection
Title / Position: Executive Director
Description: The Project on Civic Reflection is dedicated to deepening reflection on civic life through text-based discussion. Since 1998 the Project has helped a wide range of civic groups to discuss readings in the humanities as a means of reflecting on civic activity. Resources provided by the Project include a grants program, online library, facilitator forum, facilitation training, and anthologies of readings that provoke significant discussion about civic activity. The Civically Engaged Reader, edited by Elizabeth Lynn and Adam Davis and published in 2006 by the Great Books Foundation, includes more than forty such readings, along with discussion questions and tips.
