Kai Degner is a facilitator and trainer with Community Mediation Center. He is founder of The OrangeBand Initiative and Listening 101, both programs of CMC. In 2009, he was elected to be Mayor of Harrisonburg, having run a campaign based on process and citizen engagement. In this role, he convenes community dialogs using methods such as Conversation Café and Open Space Technology.
