I live and work in rural northern New York, near Canada. I spend much of my time teaching at SUNY Potsdam, doing administrative work at the same place, playing drums with my band Ten Speed Taxi, and writing about democracy and disagreement. You might be interested in my book, "United We Fall: Ending America's Love Affair with the Political Center" (Praeger, 2008). Also I am now writing a book with Jacob Z. Hess, another NCDD member, entitled "You're not as Crazy as I Thought, just Wrong (the conversations of a left-wing atheist and a religious conservative)."
