About Me: |
Vicki is an Associate Professor of Counseling at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas where she also manages an undergraduate major in Human Services. This interdisciplinary major teaches working adults how to utilize prevention, community organizing, and social policy to address the conditions underlying social problems within communities. As a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist, she was also in private practice for 10 years. Vicki is passionate about issues of social justice and community engagement and has co-presented or presented workshops focused on these issues at various national and regional conferences and events. Her work as a former board member with the National Organization for Human Services resulted in several national awards, but what she is most proud of is the collaborations she has developed with practitioners and educators throughout the country who share her passion for creating positive change. |
