In April 2003, college and university faculty and administrative leaders met as a working group entitled ?“Discussion, Dialogue, and Deliberation: Three-D Teaching and Learning.?” Hosted by SVHE's Democracy Project, the group engaged in study circles on issues of conflict on campus, studied several dialogue models and practices, and considered the challenge of assessment. Proceedings from the working group can be downloaded here. The Democracy Project will be reconvening its Three-D working group at the annual Institute on College Student Values. Academics interested in advancing democratic pedagogies and decision-making strategies on campus are welcome to join the working group.
