California Gathering of Dialogue & Deliberation Leaders to be Held in June
On Friday, Katie Howard of the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center announced that the much-anticipated (by me) First Annual Northern California Dialogue and Deliberation Conference will take place on Friday, June 11 at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. This one-day gathering will bring together Northern California's leaders, facilitators, practitioners and participants in the growing dialogue and deliberation community. Hello Colleagues in Dialogue and Deliberation:
I'm writing to ask you to save the date for an exciting, one day gathering for Northern California's leaders, facilitators, practitioners and participants in the growing fields of dialogue and deliberation.
Date: Friday, June 11, 2004
Location: Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA
Registration Fee: $50 (includes lunch and refreshments) Some scholarships may be available.
This conference will allow all of the participants to deepen our understanding of what dialogue is, and make connections with others who share our interests. There will be opportunities to develop skills which enhance our ability to introduce and practice dialogue and deliberation, wherever it serves us to do so.
Metaphorically we view this conference as a "pot luck dinner". Each participant and presenter will bring to the banquet what they choose to share. In return every person receives an opportunity to dine at a satisfying and eclectic feast.
