David Booher, Senior Policy Advisor at the Center for Collaborative Policy, asked me to spread the word about the Center's stellar e-newsletter, The Collaborative Edge. This free quarterly newsletter provides timely information on collaborative strategies and methods to public agencies, civic organizations, and the public. Click below for more details.
As collaborative strategies and methods grow more important in dealing with complex and "wicked" public policy issues, information about cutting edge developments in collaboration methods becomes more essential. The Center for Collaborative Policy at CSUS has launched a new Internet based newsletter, The Collaborative Edge. The goal is to provide timely information on collaborative strategies and methods to public agencies, civic organizations, and the public.
Each quarterly edition includes articles on success stories, tool kits, challenging issues, and news and resources. For example, recent articles reported on the use of visioning in a controversial urban park project in Los Angeles, negotiated rule making at the South Coast Air Quality Management District, restoration planning for salt ponds in the San Francisco Bay, and the dilemma of potential cooptation of collaborative processes. CCP does not share Email addresses. The newsletter is provided with the support of a grant from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. CCP is a joint program of Ca. State University Sacramento and the McGeorge School of Law.
