Open Town Meeting on Economic Issues to be Held in NYC on Monday

An "open town meeting" will be held this Monday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. near Baruch College in New YOrk City. The meeting will follow a lecture by Professor Lawrence Kotlikoff, author of "Coming Generational Storm", who will speak on economic issues to be addressed in the near future. The lecture is not open to the public, but the town meeting is. The context of the meeting will be the overall decline of America's competitiveness, the rise of our national debt, and the failure of our political discourse to address this. Organizers of the town meeting hope to make this meeting a launchpad for various deliberative processes. Click below for the full announcement.

Open town meeting, New York, NY
When: Monday, Apr. 4, 7:30 pm
Where: "Mike Due Pizza", 338 Third Ave, at E. 25th St. (down the block from Baruch College)

Topic: This meeting will be immediately following a lecture by Professor Lawrence Kotlikoff, author of "Coming Generational Storm", who will speak on economic issues to be addressed in the near future. The lecture is not open to the public. However, we hope to generate interest from this event.

Our context will be the overall decline of America's competitiveness, the rise of our national debt, and the failure of our political discourse to address this. However this context will be a springboard to touch upon any and all issues which affect the societal and economic health of our country. This can include education, the environment, community planning, etc; and many other issues affecting public economic policy.

Also, we hope to make this meeting a launchpad for various deliberative processes. Various resources will be presented, and various means of action from a variety of organizations. This will be a place for discussion of all of them.

Most of all, this will be a place to hear many different viewpoints, concerns, and worldviews at once; all with the common purpose of building up our common economic and social health, and revitalizing our country, which is the community where we all live and work. We hope to hear your views. Thanks.
