Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center Seeking New Manager of Facilitation Programs

The Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center in San Mateo, CA is looking for a new Manager of Facilitation Programs. Working under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the MFP is responsible for implementing PCRC?s facilitation services in San Mateo County. PCRC provides facilitation and process design services to formal and informal groups throughout San Mateo County. Significant experience in group process design and facilitation, commitment to inclusion and full participation, as well as comfort representing PCRC in front of large groups, are key attributes for this position. As a program manager, this Manager of Facilitation Programs serves as a member of the organization?s leadership team as well as a member of both the Facilitation and Civic Engagement Teams. Primary responsibilities:
The manager's primary role is to assure the quality and success of all facilitation programs and services at PCRC. This includes the following:
1. Providing oversight and coordination to the facilitation programs and activities at
PCRC. Tasks include:
a) Convening and leading the Facilitation Team.
b) Planning for, reporting on and evaluating the effectiveness of facilitation services.
c) Developing and improving existing facilitation case management systems.
2. Overseeing the design and delivery of high quality group facilitation services.
a) Promoting the use of group facilitation and participatory processes in the community.
b) Designing inclusive, participatory processes to meet the needs of our clients, including public engagement processes (dialogue, deliberative dialogue, town hall meeting), workplace or organizational processes (staff retreats, strategic planning) and others.
c) Developing appropriate contracts and ?scope of work? documents with clients.
d) Facilitating meetings in a variety of contexts
e) Coaching PCRC volunteers as they deliver high-quality and timely conflict resolution and facilitation services.
f) Providing guidance to clients seeking advice about group process.
g) Planning and serving as lead trainer for basic and advanced facilitation training to PCRC volunteers and other community groups.
3. Working with partners and contracted clients, in particular:
a) Coordinating all Facilitation and Civic Engagement work related to PCRC?s contract with the San Mateo County Human Services Agency.
b) Coordinating and supporting the City of Redwood City?s public involvement efforts, including periodic process design, consultation and facilitation of community meetings,
c) Supporting the Civic Engagement Manager in other community building efforts in the Redwood City / North Fair Oaks Communities.
d) Maintaining relationships with local, regional and national partners/colleagues involved in dialogue and deliberation work, including publishing a quarterly newsletter.
Qualifications:
? BA in communication, conflict resolution or related area required, MA preferred.
? Two to three years of successful and varied experience facilitating large and small group processes.
? Process planning and design skills and experience.
? Familiarity with civic engagement and public participation processes.
? Excellent verbal and writing skills.
? Ability to plan and implement multiple projects and meet required deadlines.
? Proven ability to work as part of a team and to manage collaboration with a wide range of individuals and entities.
? Successful experience in working with diverse individuals and groups.
? Successful grant writing experience preferred.
? Ability to manage flexible work schedule, since some evening and occasional weekend work is necessary.
? Proficient in computer technology skills including Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, FileMaker Pro, and HTML.

Compensation:
Salary $45,000 - $47,000 Depending on Experience. Health and dental benefits are included.
