Adrienne Dessel, Ph.D., LCSW, teaches intergroup dialogue in the Program on Intergroup Relations at the University of Michigan. She provides diversity education and dialogue facilitation and evaluation, has 20 years experience providing multicultural and conflict resolution services to a diverse client population, and received her doctorate focusing on intergroup dialogue work at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. She trained in public dialogue facilitation with The Public Conversations Project in Boston, MA. and is a certified trainer with the Anti-Defamation League. Adrienne served as chair-elect for the regional board of the National Conference for Community and Justice and is a Board member of Vital Visions, Inc. Adrienne founded the Knoxville Palestinian/Jewish Peace Project, facilitated a two-year Arab/Jewish Dialogue Group, and has lived and traveled in Israel, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Malawi, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, China and Mongolia. Co-founded Citizens for Safe and Inclusive Schools.
