My Personal Info
Full Name: Cathy Ann Kelly
NCDD Member Since: Feb. 3, 2010
About Me: I am traveller, photographer, questioner, daughter, aunt, sister and partner. I love life and I love connecting with myself and others. I live each day with purpose.

I have over 12 years of experience in the conflict resolution, restorative justice and criminal justice fields. I am certified as a Third Party Neutral and trained/certified in community engagement, facilitation, peace circles, dialogue and deep rooted conflict analysis. I began my career as a Researcher and Policy Analyst with the St. Leonard’s Society of Canada. After leaving Canada for Europe to focus on my love of the sea and photography I returned in 2006.

I am the Secretary with the Canadian Centre for Dialogue and Deliberation and co-chair of Prevention of Violence Canada. I am a former member of the Conflict Resolution Network’s Policy Review Panel for Canadian Principles of Restorative Justice; Past President of YOUCAN, Youth Canada Association; former Member of the Canadian Criminal Justice Association’s National Advisory Council and former Member of the National Voluntary Organizations National Youth Think Tank. My commitment to community, nature and connectedness is grounded in my small town Newfoundland upbringing and greatly influenced by my experience with First Nations Cultures.

I enjoy life in Ottawa with my husband Wayne and mother Isabel. Complementing my work in KRIO, I am a partner in Walsh Kelly Photography, specializing in documentary photography. I am the proud sister to Eddy, sister-in-law to the larger Walsh clan and aunt to 20 nieces and nephews.

My Interest Areas: Restorative justice, circle process, aboriginal justice, mental health in justice
